Rush Information

Sigma Phi Lambda at Oklahoma State University holds its Rush once a year at the beginning of the Fall Semester. Rush is an opportunity for interested women to learn more about Sigma Phi Lambda and meet the women who are already members. It is a time for you to decide if you would like to be a part of this fellowship and get a feel for what the women of Phi Lamb are all about. Unlike Pan-Hellenic sororities, Sigma Phi Lambda-Sisters for the Lord does not choose you, you choose us.

Rush 2011 Schedule
-Monday through Thursday from 7-8:30  location TBA.

Requirements for a pledge include:
1. She must be under or seeking the covering of a church home.
2. She must be actively involved in a Bible study.
3. She must attend 80% of the pledge meetings and 80% of the active meetings.
4. She must pay semester dues to Sigma Phi Lambda.
5. She must attend the pledge retreat.
6. She must fulfill her service requirement.

*She also is assigned a Big Sis, an active member who supports her during her pledgeship.

At the end of her pledgeship, she must attend the initiation ceremony. This ceremony is held in a church and there is never any hazing.
